New BCPCA Honorary Life Member
The BCPCA is pleased to announce that
Mike Gouin received the highest recognition of the BC
Police Curling Association during the Banquet of the
2012 Provincial Championship. Our current
Provincial Coordinator is joining a long list of well
deserving members as the newest Honorary Life Member.
The Award was presented by the BCPCA
Secretary/Treasurer, Darin Underhill and the 2012
Provincial Championship Co-Host, BCPCA and CPCA Honorary
Life Member and current Canadian Police Curling
Champion, Dale Hockley.

We
finally did it!!
Congratulations to Team Hockley for becoming the 2011
Canadian Champions!
The
Championship was held in Truro, NS. Team BC finished
the round robin 7-2 (2nd place), losing to Saskatchewan
and Ontario. They moved directly to the Finals after
defeating Saskatchewan in the 1-2 Page Playoff game. BC
met Ontario in the Finals and the rest is now history!
BC had not won the gold since 2000 when Cal Fister
represented our province. The last time Dale Hockley
brought the gold back to BC was in 1986, so no need to
say that this was a very special moment for him!
